Regarding films directed by women, if you haven’t seen it yet there’s this italian movie directed by Paola Cortellesi called “There’s still tomorrow” (“C’è ancora domani”). It discusses the situation of Italian women in the 40s and their rights, it’s a really beautiful film ☺️
